Medical consulting tenancy conversion for one of WA’s largest private medical service providers
Cablewise Electrical and Communications was recently contracted by Shape Group to undertake a significant project involving the conversion and fitout of a medical consulting tenancy for St John of God in Perth.
Given the sensitive nature of the medical practice, ensuring a flawless design and implementation was crucial from the very beginning, to create a facility that would instil confidence and comfort among the staff and patients.
How did Cablewise Electrical and Communications approach the challenge?
The largest challenge facing the client in this project was that they had taken possession of a bare tenancy with a very tight timeframe to complete the major conversion works to become fully operational as soon as their previous lease expired.
The onsite Cablewise Electrical and Communications project team worked with Shape from the tender stage to ensure they were aware of all potential lead time issues with switchboards and light fittings and provided advice on best supply chains during a very challenging COVID supply environment.
All site-specific challenges were quickly identified in the early weeks of the job so that no problems slowed construction. The result was a project delivered on time, with the added benefit of thoughtful customizations to ensure total functionality and comfort for the end user.

- The communications system installed was Panduit Cat6 U/UTP.
- Full building switchboard replacement completed to upgrade the premises power supply.
- The lighting control system uses CP Electronics motion sensors and contactor control.
