Communications

Today's technologically advanced market requires electrical contracting companies to be ahead of the rapid rate of change within the industry and amongst associated industries, such as Information Technology. New communications cabling systems must be able to support current transmission rates, but more importantly, these systems must be able to support the new faster standards that are being developed.

We commit to training all our staff in the latest manufacturer endorsed installation practices and in the latest standards and products.

Cablewise are able to deliver:

  • Structured Cabling installations to class Ea (Cat6 and Cat6A) communications installations
  • Fibre Optic installation, additions, repairs and modifications in OM1, OM2 , OM3 and OS1 standards (62.5 micron and 50 micron multimode fibre and 9 micron single mode fibre)
  • Telephone backbone cabling for voice distribution, PABX, ADSL, ISDN, fax, etc.
  • Full testing and certification of communications links (Fluke DTX1800). These can be provided in their native format or in PDF files for easy reference
  • Manufacturer backed certification and 15 year warranty on installed links can be provided at the request of our customers. We endevour to provide this warranty on all of our projects with outlet counts of more than 50 outlets

Energy Management

Energy management is increasing in demand daily with more focus being put on the effects of greenhouse gas emissions and the economics of reducing power consumption. Cablewise are an approved installer of Clipsal Cbus Energy Management Systems which deliver an intelligent system that can harvest ambient light levels and dim fluorescents to achieve a constant level of light output.

The system has many features including motion sensor control, logic which can provide a magnitude of functions such as controlling lighting loads dependant on the day of the week the time and light levels. This system has the ability to control lighting, AV equipment, blinds, drop-down projector screens, pumps, reticulation, air conditioning and virtually any electrical load imaginable.

Power Quality

Cablewise install a range of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for connection of critical equipment, such as servers, network equipment, medical equipment and other equipment that requires constant true power output and can not afford to be disconnected from the supply. UPS's come in sizes from around 150VA to 300kVA, depending on the load required to support.
